Jason & Laura's Valentine Wedding!

Falling on a Saturday this year, Valentine's Day made the perfect setting for Jason & Laura's love-filled wedding. Our first wedding of 2009, Jason and Laura helped us kick off what we hope to be an amazing year.  They started their ceremony off in the atrium of the Mayfield Inn & Suites and then headed to the U of A Old Arts Building for formals.

We got to know them through their engagement session last year, which made shooting their day even easier. Both them and their party were great and we wish all of you the best!

As you can see in the photos below, fun was had:

A little pre-ceremony rock-out!

Deanne, Alex & Nolan - Family Portraits!

Last year, we were lucky enough to be able to photograph Alex & Deanne a la maternity (man, I'm good with words... ha ha).

Now, their new arrival, Nolan, is ready for his first portrait review! We had an absolute hoot and can't wait 'til the next one - don't get too good with that camera, Deanne or we won't be coming back!  Ha ha!

I dare you to not smile back at Nolan in these pictures:

Arisha's First Birthday

We had the opportunity to shoot Arisha's first birthday, which was held at the Palace Banquet & Conference Facility here in Edmonton.

It was fun and crazy, with kids jumping off the walls and trying to steal our cameras.

Take a look, starting with the birthday girl herself:

Ryan & Jenn's Winter Wedding!

We were looking forward to Ryan and Jenn's winter wedding and it did not disappoint. It was our last of the year and it was the perfect wedding to end on. We met this couple earlier in the year at Stephen & Ashley's wedding, where Jenn was a bridesmaid.

Despite really bad weather and roads, this couple had some hot shots. The whole wedding party was a blast and we can't wait to see you guys again!

Take a look at Ryan and Jenn's "winter weddingland":

Jenn, the Houdini bride

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

A tearful hug from Jenn's grandpa, who walked her down the aisle.

A little old school magic - even though we got that cane confiscated afterwards.  Thanks to the staff at the Rutherford House at the University of Alberta for putting up with all our antics!

I love this blue room!

We love this shot!!
